Repetitor

Dobrodošli na okean

Finally ready to unleash it’s unparalleled energy and ingenuity, the Belgrade-based trio REPETITOR is back with its sophomore record ‘Dobrodošli na okean’ (Welcome to the Ocean). The album delivers nine tracks of boundary-breaking ecstasy in the form of a vehement, in-your- guts interplay of high-powered instrumentals and mind-bending vocal harmonies. Drawing parallels might seem obsolete, yet an attentive listener may catch glimpses of acts like Šarlo Akrobata, Fugazi, Sonic Youth, METZ, early Mudhoney and Nirvana, all the way to Black Sabbath, and even Suicide. The nonchalance with which the young trio mixes these influences into an unprecedented, highly-enjoyable sonic experience is awe-inspiring. Considering their all-embracing amalgam of garage and noise rock, post-punk and straightforward rock’n’roll is sending audiences crazy all around Eurasia (from China to Russia, and all over Europe), it is certainly recommendable to keep an eye on Boris, Ana-Marija and Milena’s future endeavors.
